Officers within the Office of the Ombudsman have successfully completed a two-day retreat aimed at strengthening institutional planning, teamwork, and strategic direction.

The highlight of the retreat was the presentation and endorsement of the Office’s new five-year Business Plan and Corporate Plan. These strategic documents will guide the Office’s operations and priorities over the next five years and ensure alignment with the Government’s National Sustainable Development Plan (NSDP).

Mr. Kevin Simon, Corporate Manager of the Office of the Ombudsman, led officers through the new Business Plan and Corporate Plan during a comprehensive presentation session. He outlined the key strategic objectives, performance targets, governance priorities, and operational frameworks designed to enhance accountability, transparency, and service delivery.

Mr. Simon emphasized that the new plans were developed in line with the Government’s NSDP to ensure that the Office continues to contribute meaningfully to national development goals while strengthening its constitutional mandate.

The retreat provided an important opportunity for officers to reflect on past achievements, identify institutional challenges, and collectively commit to improved performance and professionalism moving forward
