On 2nd October 2025 at around 1:00 am, Investigator Mr. Richard Michael experienced a tragic house fire that resulted in the complete loss of his home.

In response, the Ombudsman of the Republic of Vanuatu, Mr. Hamlison Bulu, together with members of his team, conducted a visitation to Mr. Michael to offer moral support and encouragement. During the visit, Mr. Bulu emphasized the importance of resilience and faith during difficult times, encouraging Mr. Michael and his family to seek strength and guidance from God.

Mr. Bulu advised Mr. Michael to compile a list of essential items he urgently requires. This will enable the Ombudsman Team to coordinate appropriate assistance and support during this challenging period. We also extend open invitation to any member of the public who wishes to assist. Your support is welcome, and you are encouraged to reach out.
