On 10 August 2025, the Office of the Ombudsman conducted its inaugural sports activity at the Korman Sport Complex as part of its year-round wellness program. This initiative aims to promote staff wellbeing and support Officers efforts to reduce the non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The feedback from staff regarding the wellness initiative has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly in relation to the encouragement of regular physical activity throughout the year. These activities includes both individual workouts and collective team sports.
All newly elected councilors are therefore urged to familiarize themselves with this provision and take immediate steps to comply by submitting their Annual Returns within the stipulated timeframe.
To sustain this momentum, the Office has designated Wednesday afternoons for weekly sports activities. This aligns with the government-wide recognition of Wednesday as an official sport day across all Ministries and Departments.
