The challenges faced and continues to face and the success stories in an environment filled with conflict of values and different society’s understanding of what is accountability verses that coming down from the Constitution and the Leadership Code Act.
Its success stories is a beacon of hope to all persons living in Vanuatu.
The event marked the Official launching of the Office five (5) year Corporate Plan (2025 – 2030) following with its 2026 Business Plan. It is another milestone for this Constitutional Office as it unveils its long-term goals, objectives, and strategies for sustainable growth and competitive advantage. It typically includes a vision and mission statement, strategic objectives, a SWOT analysis, and key initiatives for implementation. The launch ensures alignment with the National Sustainable Development Plan which will end together with the five-year contracts of the current Ombudsman in 2030.The Ombudsman Bulu appreciated all the assistance from his staffs and thanked Mrs. Margret McFarlane who was the consultant drafter of the corporate and business plans.
Hence, this day also recognized the farewell of hard-working Officer who served 15 years in service of the Office of the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman Bulu praised all the efforts and performance of the outgoing Director of Leadership Code Investigations - Mr. Darval Simon who had taken another path in his working carrier. The Ombudsman team wishes Mr. Simon success and blessings for his future endeavours.
