A team from the Ombudsman’s Office conducted an awareness last week at Central School Hall last week. More than 100 years 11, 12 and 13 students attended and showed interest on the topics discussed during the awareness.
Senior Language officer Beranger Tevanu, Investigator Richard Michael from Leadership Code and Investigator Maladministration Lydian Csiba conducted the awareness to the students and teachers. The awareness was mainly on the functions of the Ombudsman.
The School Principal Willie George explains that the session was informative and teachers and students alike enjoyed the presentation he is looking forward to further cooperation with the office on similar event in the future.
The two hours’ session was followed by short questions and answers to reflect as the recap of the session. The student themselves really appreciated the session.
This is the second awareness conducted in a school after the first one was conducted in Lycee Louis Antoine de Bougainville early this year. The Ombudsman Office is planning to complete awareness all major secondary schools in Efate this year.
